Robert B. Mitchell is an award-winning author who worked as a news service editor for The Washington Post and covered Congress for Thomson Newspapers. He is the author of the forthcoming "The Partisans: James G. Blaine, Roscoe Conkling, and the Politics of Rivalry and Revenge in the Gilded Age." Mitchell is a graduate of Grinnell College and lives in Woodbridge, Va.
